ROMA LEA LEBLANC died August 23, 2008 at University Medical Center, Omaha, NE at the age of 82. She was born on November 8, 1925 in Quinter, Kansas the daughter of Alex and Annie (Mohn) Haas. Roma Lea was raised in the Quinter and Longford communities, graduating from Longford High School in 1943. She taught at the Wide Range country school and worked for Duckwall's in Abilene. She married Wayne Marrs on November 11, 1944 and he preceded her in death on September 25, 1953. She married Eugene Leblanc on May 23, 1959 in Clyde. She worked as a Geriatric Aide at Estelle's Care Home. She was also the Site Director for the Senior Citizen's Center in Clifton and managed the pool for 25 years. She was a member of the Faith United Presbyterian Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Senior Citizen's Center all of Clifton. She was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers. Survivors include: Husband: Eugene Leblanc, Clifton, KS Son: Michael and his wife, Susan Marrs, Omaha, NE Son: Danny Marrs, Ft. Lauderdale, FL Son: Donnie and his wife, Mona Marrs, Salina, KS Son: Dennis and his wife, Coreen Leblanc, Lincoln, NE Grandchildren: 11 Grand and 7 Great Grand Brother: Eddie and his wife, Eileen Haas, Marysville, KS Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Faith United Church Presbyterian in Clifton, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Doris Compton. Burial will be at the Vining Cemetery, Vining Kansas, . Visitation will be held on 6-8 PM Tuesday at the church. Memorials can be made to may be made to the Community Care Inc. or the Clifton swimming pool in care of the funeral home.
