Ronald Carlson

RONALD L. CARLSON died October 9, 2012 at Stormont-Vail Regional Medical Center, Topeka, KS at the age of 78. He was born on September 27, 1934 in Clay Center Kansas, the son of Ernest George Ludvic Carlson and Esther Mary Bertsch. Ron attended Q and Star country schools before graduating from Green Rural High School in 1952. He married Beverly Osbourn on July 26, 1954. He farmed east of Clay Center until 1962. Ronald then worked for Hutchinson Manufacturing in the shop, as a truck driver and and shop foreman. He returned to farming east of Clay Center, retiring in 2008 and moving to Clay Center. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Neighborhood Club, B.P.O.E. and the Country Club. He is preceded in death by his parents and a grandson. Survivors include: Wife: Beverly Carlson, Clay Center, KS Daughter: Sherry and husband Lanny Hess, Clay Center, KS Daughter: Christina Reed, Riley, KS Brother: Gayle and wife Barbara Carlson, Atchison, KS 4 Grandchildren 5 Great grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 10:30 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Clay Center, Kansas . Officiating the service will be Rev. James Byers. Burial will be at the May Day Cemetery, Riley County, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 3-8 Friday at the funeral home. The family will greet friends from 5-6:30PM Memorials can be made to the Clay Center Presbyterian Church c/o the funeral home
