Ronald C. “Ron” Wohler, 83 of Clay Center, died on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan, Kansas. He was born on April 28, 1942 in Clay Center, Kansas, the son of Myron Edward, Sr. and Wobina K. (Leipersberger) Wohler. Ron grew up in Clay County and graduated from CCHS in 1960.
Ron attended Kansas State University before returning to Clay County, where he farmed and worked part time at Hutchinson/Mayrath. He married Carolyn Charpie on March 15, 1964. He continued farming while working for the Mid-America, Williams and enterprise Pipelines, retiring after over 40 years. He also ran the Morganville Café for 13 years.
Ron was a member of the Clay Center and Morganville Lions Club, Republican Valley Camping Club, Piotique Promenaders and 4-H. He is preceded in death by parents and his brother, Myron "Bud" Wohler, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn of Clay Center; 2 sons, Brad Wohler of Manhattan, Kansas and Bryan and wife, Tracy Wohler of Clay Center; 4 grandsons, Joshua, Zachary, Trace and Brock Wohler.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 10:30AM at the Swedesburg First Lutheran Church in Morganville, Kansas.
Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Clay Center, Kansas.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025 from 3-6PM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home in Clay Center, Kansas.
Memorial contributions may be made to CCARE or Swedesburg Lutheran Church and can be sent in care of the funeral home.
