Rose Dettmer

Rose Mary Frances Dettmer, age 87, died September 19, 2022, at Clay County Medical Center in Clay Center, KS. She was born on April 12, 1935 in Manhattan, Kansas to Charlie Monroe and Miona Lucille (Harrison) Young. Rose attended Stockdale, Garrison, Manhattan and Randolph schools.  She worked as a laborer for Key Mills. Rose and her sister Lee, also cleaned chickens for local farmers.  She enjoyed gardening in her free time.  She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Charlotte Kidwell; brothers, Bill and Charles "Bud" Young; and sister, Lenore Hess.
