ROSS ROBERT KNITTER died March 30, 2007 at Via Christi Medical Center, St. Francis, Wichita, KS at the age of 69. ROSS ROBERT KNITTER was born on August 11, 1937 in Clay Center Kansas, the son of George Pete Jacob Knitter and Etta Ione Holladay.
Mr. Knitter graduated from Morganville High School, Emporia State University and Kansas State University where he earned a Masters Degree. He married Reta Trudell on June 2, 1957 and she survives of the home. He taught and was principal at schools in Wakefield, Morganville, and Green, KS. He was Superintendent at USD #379 and retired as Principal of Clifton-Clyde Jr. High and Elementary School. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, B.P.O.E., American Legion and the Rotary Club all of Clay Center. He served in the National Guard for 37 years.

Grandchildren: 6 Grandchildren
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Glenn Tombaugh.
Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 2 from 3-8pm at the funeral home.
