ROSS HENRY SAGER died August 3, 2011 at his residence in Clay Center, KS at the age of 71. He was born on February 26, 1940 in Lewellan, Nebraska the son of Jacob and Lottie (Newton) Sager. Ross was raised in Colorado and later moved to Green, KS. where he worked for Clay Center Salvage. He then moved to Denver where he worked for a milk company and then to Concordia and worked for Combustion Engineers. He moved to Clay Center in 1987. Ross married Terri Ann Cruz on June 25, 2005 and she survives of the home. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Clay Center. He was preceded in death by two brothers. Survivors include: Wife: Terri Sager, Clay Center, KS Son: Jessie “John” Sager, Concordia, KS Son: Ross Henry Sager II, Clay Center, KS Daughter: Deedra Sager, Buffalo, MO Daughter: Crystal Sager, Buffalo, MO Step-Daughter: Dawn and husband Vernon McGee, Clay Center, KS Step-Son: Cecil and wife Ava Brown, St. Louis, MO Step-Daughter: Sarah and husband Richard Swanson, Plant City, FL Step-Son: Aaron and wife Brandi Cowing, Clifton, KS Step-Son: Stephen Cowing, Clay Center, KS Sister: Amy and husband Claude Cruickshank, Lochbouie, CO Sister: Linda Smith, Thorton, CO Brother: Bill and wife Margaret Sager, Springfield, OR Sister In-Law: Barbara Sager, Brighton, CO Several grandchildren, nieces and nephews Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 10:30 AM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Chapel in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Rick James. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Ks. Visitation will be held on will be held from 3-8 PM Friday at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation and sent in care of the funeral home.
