Royce Rasmussen

Royce C. Rasmussen, 66, of Clay Center, died October 3, 2019 at his residence..  He was born on September 25, 1953 to William and Lucille (Sands) Rasmussen in Garden City. Royce grew up in Junction City and graduated from Junction City High School.  He worked as a jailer for the Geary County Sheriff’s Department, was the Assistant Chief of Police for Grandview Plaza, a Geary County Deputy Sheriff and an officer for the Junction City Police Department, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant.  Royce married Mary Goodman on December 18, 1987. After retiring, they moved to Clay Center and Royce worked in the maintenance department at CCMC and he also worked for St. Francis Ministries transporting foster children to their appointments. He was an avid duck hunter and loved his dogs and his Corvettes.   He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gary Rasmussen.

Daughter: Danielle (Jay) Cucchiara, Gainesville, FL

Daughter: Gabrielle (David) Sprague, Westminster, CO

2 Grandchildren: Nicholas and Zackery
