Russell Novotny passed away on September 8, 2021, at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte, Florida at the age of 55.
He was born July 27, 1966 in Fairbury NE, the son of Sandy Novotny, He and his brother were raised by their grandparents in Endicott NE. Graduated from Fairbury High School in 1985. He married Kim Day in 1990. They resided in Utah. They later divorced but stayed good friends. In 1997 he married Rhonda Cartwright. With this marriage he gained a daughter, Shaye. They then had another daughter Adreah. They later divorced.
He then met the love of his life Tina Wendte and they married on September 2nd 2017 in Las Vegas surrounded by close family and friends. He always said the 3rd time's a charm. He was very talented in many things. He was a talented painter and very good cook even without a recipe. He was known for making his granny’s summer sausage and bringing it to family functions. He seemed to know a lot of random knowledge that would come in handy at times.
When he moved to Clay Center he worked as a Plumber for John Turner for many years. After he got hurt he became a caregiver for the elderly and touched many lives.
He moved to Fort Myers, Florida with his wife and daughter in April of 2021. It was his dream to move to paradise with his family. He spent his weekends boating and swimming in the ocean. Even though it was for a short time he truly got everything he wanted in life including his dream car, a Chrysler 300.
He is preceded in death by his mom Sandy Novotny, Grandparents Harold and Ada Novotny.
Many aunts and uncles. And his favorite dog Split.

There will be a celebration of life at 4 pm Saturday, October 23rd at the Palmer Community Building, 215 North Illinois St Palmer, KS. Russ wanted a party to celebrate his life and his successes. There will be food, but the family asks for the attendants to bring their own drinks.
