Ruth Cooper

RUTH W. COOPER died April 12, 2010 at Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center, KS at the age of 96. She was born on November 4, 1913 in Clay Center Kansas, the daughter of A.L. and Mary Jane (Small) Wylie. Ruth was raised in Clay Center and graduated from CCCHS in 1932. She worked at several businesses in Clay Center before marrying Lee Cooper on June 21, 1936 and moving to Longford. They moved to Kansas City KS in 1941 and returned to Clay Center in 1974. Lee preceded her in death on May 31, 1998. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Garden Club and Library Club. She is also preceded by 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Survivors include: Daughter: Emily Cooper and husband Steve Blacksher , Longmont, CO Daughter: Susan Cooper, Loveland, CO Son: Norman Cooper, Chapman, KS Grandchildren: 3 Grandsons Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 16, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Chapel in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Larry Myers. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Friday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home Memorials can be made to Clay Center Library or the Clay Center United Methodist Church c/o the funeral home
