Ruth Elaine Wilgers Mall

Ruth Elaine Wilgers Mall died June 4, 2008 at Cloud County Health Center, Concordia, KS at the age of 73. Ruth was born on December 23, 1934 in Washington County, KS the daughter of Henry and Louise (Dankenbring) Wilgers. She was raised in Washington County and graduated from Linn High School. She graduated from Bethany School of Nursing School with an RN degree and from the Wesley Medical Center Anesthesia School as a CRNA. She worked at the Halstead Hospital for 15 years, Wesley Medical Center , Clay County Medical Center, Replace Med Anesthesia Group in Michigan City, Indiana and she was an office nurse for Dr. Richard O'Donnell. She also worked as a school nurse in Clay Center and at the Clay Center Zoo. She was a member of the Retired Kansas Association of Nursing Anesthetists, was active in the Hunter's Education Program, and a member of Women on Target. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Wayne Wilgers. Survivors include: Son: Greg and Rhonda Mall, Eagle, NE Daughter: Connie and husband Charlie Busch, Manhattan, KS Son: Jay Mall, Clay Center, KS Son: Jeff and wife Susan Mall, Clay Center, KS Brother: Calvin and Rhea Wilgers, Linn, KS Brother: Delmer and wife Gertrude Wilgers, Palmer, KS Sister-In-Law: Lorna Wilgers, Washington, KS Grandchildren: 8 Grand and 1 Great-grand Special Friend: Virginia Black, Clay Center, KS Memorial Services will be held on Monday, June 9, 2008 at 10:30 AM at the Countryside United Methodist Church in Clay County, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Diana Stewart. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-5 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Tammy Walker Cancer Center or Kansas Hunter's Safty c/o the funeral home.
