Ruth Proctor, 94 years died August 23, 2016 at in , KS. She was born on February 7, 1922 in Oak Hill, KS, the daughter of Frederick T. and Alva (Lewis) Binder. Ruth was raised in the Oak Hill community. She attended grade school in Oak Hill and graduated from Longford High School. Ruth married Charles Proctor on March 25, 1943. He preceded her in death in 1966. She worked at the telephone office and at Cooney’s store in Oak Hill. After moving to Clay Center, Ruth worked at Weimer Drugs and at Gibsons until she retired. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Clay Center. Ruth was also preceded in death by her parents, two infant children, Michael and Susan and brother, Wayne Binder.
