Sally Wright

Sally A. Wright, 77, of Clay Center, Kansas, died on Monday, April 29, 2024 at the Clay County Medical Center.  She was born on January 8, 1947 in Van Nuys, California, the daughter of Max and Margaret (Morden) Souers.

Sally grew up in southern California.  She married Ronald Wright on June 15, 1962 and the couple lived in various locations due to Ronald’s military service.  Ronald preceded her in death on February 26, 2018.  Sally moved to Clay Center with her son and daughter in-law in October of 2019. She is also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Carol Wase; great grandchild, Atticus and 2 sisters, Sandy Tucker and Sue Kangas.

Sally is survived by her son, John and wife, Michelle Wright of Clay Center, Kansas; daughter, Sheri McCormick of Redmond, Oregon; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and lifelong friends, Naomi and Billy Patton of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

There are no services planned at this time

Inurnment will take place at a later date in the Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
