Sharon Elaine Schweitzer, age 79, passed peacefully at home on March 14, 2025. She was born in Joplin, MO on July 7, 1945, to Howard and Doris (Austin) Corcoran. Sharon was the youngest of only two children. She moved with her family at a young age to Ellsworth, KS then again to Hutchinson where she spent much of her youth. Sharon attended St. Teresa’s Catholic School and graduated in 1963. She went on to Hutch Community College earning her associate’s degree. Sharon married Ivan Schweitzer on May 2, 1970. They had three daughters, Marsha, Vicki, and Terri. Sharon was very hard-working. She worked as a bookkeeper for Schweitzer Services, a business she and Ivan own, and has spent the last 25 years as the secretary for the church. She was a 4-H leader and taught ceramics when her kids were younger. Sharon enjoyed gardening and reading and was well known for her cooking skills. She was a member of the Idana Presbyterian Church, HEU and formerly the Milford Lake Water sports Club. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Michael John.

Funeral Services: Friday, March 21, 2025, at 10:30 AM at the Idana First Presbyterian Church in Idana, KS
