Sheila Wendelken, 61 died April 25, 2026 in Clay Center, KS. She was born on April 21, 1965 in Clay Center, the daughter of Richard and Anna (Ohlde) Wendelken. Sheila was a class of 1983 graduate from Clay Center Community High School. Following high school, she attended Emporia State University. Sheila started her career in telecommunications with Southwestern Bell. In 2005 she moved to Clay Center and has worked at Twin Valley Telephone since then. Sheila was active in the Clay County Arts Council and enjoyed attending Jazz and Blues festivals. She loved KU sports, the Kansas City Chiefs and was a fan of Star Wars movies. Sheila loved animals but was especially fond of her cats. She was preceded in death by her parents.
