Sheldon Bergstrom

Sheldon L. Bergstrom, passed away April 23, 2019 at the age of 79 years in North Augusta, SC. He was born on May 29, 1939 in Green, KS, the son of Eldon and Lois (Elliott) Bergstrom. He married Jean (Spilker) on February 15,1959. Sheldon was a graduate of Clay Center Community High School in 1957 and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Southwestern College in 1962 and Master of Science degree from Emporia State University in 1968.

Sheldon taught school for 15 years prior to owning and operating Bergstrom greenhouse and nursery in Clay Center, Ks for 39 years. He and his wife Jean moved to South Carolina in 2016 to be closer to their children. Sheldon was proceeded in death by his parents.

Son: Chris Bergstrom and wife Marisa Bergstrom
Son: Dallas Bergstrom and wife Shelley Bergstrom
11 Grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren
Sister: Karen (Bergstrom) Weimer
Sister: Jeanie (Bergstrom) Baker
Brother: Gregg Bergstrom and wife Cindy Bergstrom

Funeral services will be: 11:00 a.m. May 2, 2019 at: United Methodist Church, Clay Center, Kansas
Minister: Rev. Andrea Beyer
Burial: Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas
Visitation: 9 a.m. until service time at the church
Memorials: Clay Center United Methodist Church or the Alert Evangelical Covenant Church c/o the funeral home
