Shirley Bouley

Shirley Bouley, 82 died May 17, 2025, in Linn, KS.  She was born on September 11, 1942, in Whittier, California, the daughter of Harry and Irene (Durling) Affleck.  Shirley attended school in Clifton.  Following high school, she attended beauty college in Manhattan, KS.  Shirley married Gilmer Bouley on July 7, 1962, and they made their home in Clifton. Shirley worked as a beautician for many years.  She was also an accomplished seamstress and baker.  Shirley decorated wedding cakes, arranged flowers and assisted with several weddings in the local community.  Gilmer preceded her in death on March 24, 2015.  Shirley was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the church Alter Society, American Legion Auxiliary and the Clifton Museum.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, a sister and three grandchildren.

Daughter: Karen and husband Greg Staatz, Abilene, KS

8 Grandchildren and 8 Great-grandchildren

Sister: Beverly Willcoxon, Abilene, KS

Brother: Jack Affleck, Arkansas

Per Shirley’s wishes, Graveside Service: 2:00 PM Saturday, May 24, 2025, at the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Clifton, KS.  A luncheon will follow at Shirley's house, 109 Washington St, Clifton, KS

Visitation: friends are invited to stop by Shirley’s house, 109 Washington St, Clifton, KS, 5-7PM Friday, May 23

Memorials: Clifton Fire Department, in lieu of flowers
