Stanley Ohlde, 76 died June 1, 2026 in Manhattan, KS. He was born on May 31, 1950 in Clay Center, the son of Ernest and Hulda (Laue) Ohlde. Stan was raised in rural Linn. He was baptized at St. John’s Lutheran Church, rural Palmer and later confirmed into the church. Stan attended St John’s Lutheran grade school and was a class of 1968 graduate from Linn High School. After high school, he attended Pittsburg State University for cabinet making. Stan returned to Linn and worked for Long Construction. He married Marlene Meyer on March 29, 1975. In 1978, Stan began working for Oetinger-Lloyd Construction. The family moved from Linn to Clay Center in 1983. Stan retired from Oetinger-Lloyd in 2016 after 38 years. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and served on the Tiger House board until 2022. Stan was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother, Jon.

Sister: Charlotte and husband Richard Voelker of Palmer, KS

10 Grandchildren and 1 Great-grandchild

Brother-in-law: Richard and wife Becky Meyer of Hanover, KS

Funeral Services: 10:30 AM Friday, June 5, 2026 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clay Center, KS

Burial: Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas

Visitation: 3-7 PM Thursday, June 4, 2026 at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 5-7 PM

Memorials: Stan Ohlde Memorial Fund to be designated later c/o the funeral home
