Steven Francis Payne

The Rev. Steven Francis Payne passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2019. He was born Sept. 6, 1958 at Wichita, Kan., the son of Francis and Marilyn Crawford Payne. He graduated from Goddard High School in 1976. He received his degree in ministry from Friends University. Later he received his Master’s in Divinity from Denver Seminary. He is preceded in death by his father, Francis Payne. He is survived by his daughter, Rachel Adele Payne of Denver, Colo.; his mother, Marilyn Crawford Payne of Peabody, Kan; sisters, Callyn Worcester of Goddard, Kan., Krishyn (Tim) Caldwell of Peabody, Kan.; brother, the Rev. Raughnsen (Holly) Payne of Gerry, N.Y.; and six nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 17 at Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center., with his brother, the Rev. Raughnsen Payne officiating.
