Steven Mark Scripter passed away the morning of July 26, 2016 at Lakeside Hospital in Omaha, NE. He was born on May 5, 1958 in Salina, Kansas. He is survived by his mother Dorothy Scripter; wife, Ronda Scripter and three daughters, Sarah Virus (companion Scott Sizenbach), Stephanie Corman (husband, Cletus Corman) and Jaimie Scripter. His brother David Scripter (wife, Jill) sister Susan Miller (husband, Gary)and Sister-in-Law Diane Scripter. He was blessed with several grandchildren and loved spending time with them, Wade, Bailey, Hunter, Jordyn, Alyson, Canon, Bryson, Cashlie, Grace, Levi and Lily. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Scripter; brother, Donald Scripter; grandparents, Lucy and John Bemis; Agnes and Clifford Scripter. Steve grew up in Longford, KS and later their family moved to Superior, NE where he graduated from High School. He was married to Sheryl Waddle and they had two beautiful daughters, Sarah and Stephanie. In 1989 he married Ronda Sample and was blessed with another daughter, Jaimie. Steve had a vast number of jobs, he even commercial fished. He worked for the family dehydration business until 1988 and then moved to Omaha, NE. Steve worked for several grocery stores. He later found out how great he was at sales and entered into the Food Brokerage business and then went into the dairy business ending his career at Deans Food. His friends always said he knew no stranger and could sell ice to someone in the North Pole. His customers were friends and he loved helping them grow their business, plus, he was competitive on winning sales contests. Steve was an outdoorsman, he loved to hunt, trap, fish, garden and barbeque. His nickname was “Trapper.” He loved barbequing for family and friends, but most of all he loved having people over for the conversation – he was a great story-teller. He was an avid Husker fan and enjoyed the grandkids sports too. Steve will be missed by family and friends, but his life will continue to live through his kids and grandkids. All of the great memories and times will be cherished to help celebrate his life and keep his spirit alive. Funeral Services: Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at 10:30AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clay Center, Kansas Minister: Pastor Paul Tessaro Burial: Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas Visitation: Monday, August 1, 2016 from 3-8PM at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home, Clay Center, Kansas. The family will greet friends from 5-8PM.
