Suzanne Thompson

Suzanne Thompson, 82, died January 5, 2018 in Clay Center, KS.  Sher was born on December 18, 1935 in Bloom Township the daughter of Joseph R. and Marjorie I. (Lippe) Regnier.                  Suzanne was raised in Bloom Township in Clay County, Kansas. She was a graduate of Clay Center High School in 1953. She married “Gene” Thompson on January 9, 1955. She and her husband were foster parents to over 20 children through the years. She was a member of the Clay Center Wesleyan Church. She was preceded in death by parents, one brother, 1 Grandchild and 1 Step-Grandchild. Surviving are: Husband: “Gene” Thompson, Clay Center, KS Son: David and wife Joyce Thompson, Manhattan, KS Daughter: Peggy and husband Dennis Nix, Dewey, OK Son: Paul and wife Cory, Thornton, CO Son: Walter and wife Rachel, Highlands Ranch, COSon: Rodney and wife Karen, Salina, KS Daughter: Vanessa Thomas, Lawrence, KS Grandchildren: 14 Grand, several Step-Grand, 10 Great-Grand and several Step-Great-Grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Saturday,  January 13, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home in Clay Center, KS Officiating the service will be Rev. David Thompson and Rev. Peggy Nix Private family burial will follow the service in Greenwood Cemetery in Clay Center, KS Memorials may be made to CCARE or Clay Center Zoo c/o the funeral home
