“Do everything in love.” – First Epistle to the Corinthians 16:14
Tania Renea Dunn was born on July 6, 1983, in Clay Center, Kansas, to Mark and Joanna Dunn. From that day forward, she truly lived by those words—doing everything in love—up until her final breath on April 7, 2026, in her home in Broomfield, Colorado.
She was a devoted and loving mother to her children: Aquinniah Raab (Nay), Chaiden Lyles (Bubba), Arianna Lyles (Ona), and stepdaughter Aurora Kelley (Rory).
Anyone who knew Tania knew that, above anything and everything, her children were her entire world. Her love for them came before all else. Outside of her children, she had an unwavering love for animals—especially her cats, Spot and Sassy, and the family dog, Loki. She was also the proud and loving “grandma” to Aquinniah’s two cats, whom she never forgot during the holidays, always making sure they had Christmas presents.
Tania found joy in the simplest and most meaningful things. She loved crunchy ice, the moon, the color purple, the ocean, bad reality TV, beauty care, shopping, long walks, sweet treats, and Christmas. She was a strong woman with a huge heart, someone who didn’t need much to be happy—just her kids, her animals, and her crunchy ice.
Through everything life placed in her path, Tania remained full of love. Her strength and growth shaped her into the woman her children knew—a woman whose heart never stopped giving, no matter what she had been through.
She was the kind of person who made others feel heard and loved. An incredible listener, she would sit with you through anything, offering quiet encouragement exactly when you needed it. She loved her nieces and nephews deeply and always wanted to be there for her family in any way she could. Even with distance, she made sure her love was felt—through thoughtful gifts, constant support, and keeping up with the lives of those she cared about.
Tania had a gentle, beautiful spirit and an unintentional sense of humor that made her even more special. She could make people laugh in the most innocent, genuine way.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ed and Jackie Schafer, Joe and Scharlotte Knitter, and her aunt, Deb Straub.
Left to celebrate her life are her daughters, Aquinniah Raab of Lawrence and Arianna Lyles of Clay Center; her son, Chaiden Lyles of Eudora; and her stepdaughter, Aurora Kelley of Broomfield, Colorado. Her devoted partner, John Kelley of Broomfield, Colorado.
Her parents, Joanna Dunn of Miltonvale; Marc (Traci) Dunn of Clay Center; and Carrie Kelley of Broomfield, Colorado.
Her brother, Travis Dunn of Clay Center; and her sisters, Whitney (Troy) Johnson of Clay Center and Skylar (Nate) Brummet of Miltonvale.
Her nieces, Ally (Zane), Ayla, Khenzly, Laikyn, Knoxleigh, and River; her nephews, Andyn, Cashdyn, and Brooks; and newest niece or nephew expected in August 2026.
Look to the moon, for it will always be there—just like her unconditional love. Talk to it about your days, just as you would if she were here.
To the moon and back, with love.
