Teresa Lynn Burger

Teresa Lynn Burger passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022 in Clay Center. She was born November 29, 1960 in Superior, Nebraska to Dwane and Karen (Henry) Hamel.

Teresa was a CCCHS Class of 1979 graduate. She worked for Dairy Queen, the Senior Meal Delivery Services and Ray’s Apple Market.

Teresa and Randy were married on May 7, 1983, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clay Center.

​

She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, Nama, sister, aunt, and friend to everyone. She treasured her children, embraced every moment with them and loved following the activities of them and her four granddaughters. She especially loved her role as Nama. She had an infectious personality that always made people laugh and she made friends everywhere she went.

Survivors include her husband Randy Burger of Clay Center. Son Justin Burger and granddaughters Maddie and Delaney of Topeka. Daughter Lindsey (Burger) Hines and granddaughters Natalee and Breana of Clay Center. Parents Dwane and Karen Hamel of Clay Center. Sister Tina and husband BJ Beems of Bel Aire. Brother Allen and wife Julie Hamel of Clay Center. Sister-in-law Carol and husband Steve Wallace of Salina. Mother-in-law Pauline Burger of Clay Center. Brother-in-law, Mike and wife Julie Burger of Prescott Valley, Arizona, and Sister-in-law Julie (Burger) and husband Bob Hicks of Topeka. Along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded by her brother Randy Hamel and Father-in-law Robert Burger.

​

A Memorial Service for Teresa will be held on Saturday, February 19th at 10:30am at the Family Life Center of the United Methodist Church in Clay Center.

​

Respect calls will be held on Friday, February 18th from 4-7pm at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home in Clay Center.
