Veryl James

VERYL JAMES died November 4, 2012 at his residence in Clay Center, KS at the age of 76. He was born on September 12, 1936 in Clay Center Kansas, the son of Albert and Jessie (Barclay) James. Veryl was raised in the Ladysmith Community in Clay County. He graduated from CCCHS in 1954 and from Kansas State University in 1959. Veryl married Carole Hedlind on May 4, 1963. They farmed in the Ladysmith community. He was a member of the Clay Center United Methodist Church where he served as trustee, Exeter township board and Pleasant Ridge Cemetery sexton. Veryl is preceded in death by this parents. Survivors include: Wife: Carole James, Clay Center, KS Son: Derek and wife Karra James, Clay Center, KS Son: Andrew James, Clay Center, KS Sister: Alice and husband Lee Ohlde, Clay Center, KS Grandchildren: 3 Grandchildren Memorial Services will be held on Friday, November 9, 2012 at 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Larry Myers. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-7 PM at the Family Life Center at the United Methodist Church Memorials can be made to Clay Center United Methodist Church or the organization of the donor's choice, c/o the funeral home
