Veryl Rand

VERYL RAND, 81 died December 21, 2014 at in Clay Center, KS. He was born on August 25, 1933 in Washington County, KS, the son of Glenn and Frances (Jackson) Rand. Veryl was raised in Clifton and graduated from Clifton High School in 1951. He married Joyce Kahrs on July 23, 1954. Veryl worked for Dale Barnes Construction and Fyfe Sand Co. He then worked for Hallmark in Osage City. Veryl and Joyce also made their home in Minneapolis where he worked for El Dorado Bus Co. and later in Dodge City before moving to Clifton in 2010. He was a member of the Clifton S.A.L. He is preceded in death by parents, son Kenneth Rand and brothers, Artie and Alvin Rand. Survivors: Wife: Joyce Rand, Clifton, KS Son: Michael and wife Gina Rand, Dodge City, KS Daughter: Connie and husband Neil Shelton, Bates City, MO Sister: Opal and husband Homer Naumann, Clifton, KS 5 Grand children and 7 Great-grandchildren Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 10:30 AM at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Vining, KS Officiating the service will be Pastor FrankLyn Schroeder Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Vining, KS Memorials: Clifton Ambulance or Clifton Library
