Violet Blomberg, 92, died January 16, 2018 in Leonardville, KS. She was born on April 10, 1925 in Clay County, KS, the daughter of Franklin and Anna (Nemnich) Beals. Violet graduated from Miltonvale High School. She took normal training and taught 3 years in one room schools. Violet was a homemaker and also worked for Clay Center Presbyterian Manor for 25 years. Violet married Rama Hughes on October 14, 1947 and he preceded her in death on December 22, 1992. She then married David Blomberg on February 11, 1995 and he preceded her in death on November 4, 2007. Violet was a member of the Clay Center Wesleyan Church. She was also preceded in death by her parents, sister, Florence Batton, and grandson, Timothy Hughes.
