VIRGINIA HIXON, 84 died September 10, 2014 at Clay County Medical Center in Clay Center, KS. She was born on September 25, 1929 in Junction City, KS. The daughter of Coleman and Nina (Archbold) Bruce.
Virginia was raised in Junction City and graduated from Junction City High School in 1947. She married Dean Hixon on July 26, 1953. She worked for the Kansas Veterans Commission in Milford before moving to Clay Center. Virginia worked at the Clay Center S.R.S office from 1971 until she retired in 1984. Dean preceded her in death on March 18, 2013. They attended the Clay Center Christian Church. She was also preceded in death by her son, Gregory Hixon, sister, Betty Miller, and her parents

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 15, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home in Clay Center, KS
Officiating the service will be The Rev. Susan Sawyer
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, KS
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 15, 2014 from Noon-2:00 PM atNeill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home
