VIRGINIA M. WILLIAMS died August 24, 2007 at Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center, KS at the age of 87. Virginia was born on September 15, 1919 in Fairmont, Minnesota the daughter of George Rasmussen and Amelia Rasmussen. Virginia grew up and attended school in Karlstad, Minnesota. She moved to Porterville, California where she married Clifford Williams, Sr. on June 15, 1945. The family moved to Clay Center in 1948. Virginia was a nurse's aide and worked for several years at the Clay Center Hospital. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband; one grandson; one great granddaughter; a step-son; five brothers; and two sisters. Survivors include: Son: Clifford, Jr. and his wife, Carolyn Williams., Clay Center, KS Daughter: Neena and her husband, Gary Wilson, Clay Center, KS Daughter: Ruth Crawford, Clay Center, KS Step-Son: Wilber Williams, Portland, OR Sister: Eloise Dunning, Waite Park, MN Grandchildren: 18 Grand, 38 Great, 16 Great Great Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at 10:30 am at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Chapel in Clay Center. Officiating the service will be . Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Respect calls will be held from 3-8 pm Monday, August 27, 2007 at the funeral home. Family will receive friends from 4-6 pm. Memorials can be made to Virginia Williams Memorial Fund to be designated later by the family in care of the funeral home.
