Wanda Steenbock

WANDA MARIE STEENBOCK died September 4, 2007 at Community Care Inc., Clifton, KS at the age of 94. Wanda Steinbock was born on December 31, 1912 in Clay Center Kansas, the daughter of Carl Henry Plock and Irene Elizabeth Sanneman. She was raised in Clay Center and graduated from Clay County Community High School in 1933. She married William Elmer Steenbock on September 12, 1935 in Industry. They farmed near Longford. William preceded her in death on March 11, 1985. She was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church in Longford. She is also preceded by 2 sisters, 1 step-sister and 2 step brothers. Survivors include: Daughter: Irene Schoneweis, Clay Center, KS Son: William and wife Nancee Steenbock, Longford, KS Son: Robert and wife Shelia Steenbock, Clay Center, KS Daughter: Irene and husband Wilbur Schoneweis, Clay Center, KS Daughter: LaDonna and husband Tyrone Kamphaus, Clay Center, KS Grandchildren: 11 Grand & 13 Great-grand Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 7, 2007 at 10:30 AM at the Bethel United Methodist Church in Longford, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Larry Brock. Burial will be at the Athelstane Cemetery, Clay County, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 3-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
