Warren E. Coupal died September 14, 2012 at Medicalodge, Clay Center,
KS at the age of 93. Warren was born on June 23, 1919 in Clay County Kansas, the son of
Willie and Thelma (Nichols) Coupal.
Warren grew up in the Bloom Township and attended the Pleasant View School and
graduated from Clay Center Community High School. He married Betty Carver on May 16,
1945 and she survives. He began farming with his Grandfather, Felix Coupal at the age of 10 and
remained farming into his 80's. Along with his agriculture farming, Warren raised Aberdeen
Angus cattle. His farmstead was named a Century Farm in 1991. Warren was preceded in death
by two brothers.

Daughter: Shirley Coupal, Roeland Park, KS
Daughter: Jean Coupal-Smith, Roeland Park, KS
4 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchildren
Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Lincoln
Cemetery in Clay Center, Kansas.
Officiating the service will be Pastor Larry Brock.
Burial will be at the Lincoln Cemetery, Clay County, Kansas.
Visitation will be held from 3-8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Medicalodge of Clay Center and can be sent in
care of the funeral home.
