Warren Weidman

WARREN WEIDMAN died November 7, 2010 at Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center, KS at the age of 85. He was born on January 31, 1925 in Clay County, Kansas the son of Clarence and Clara (Pfizenmaier) Weidman. Warren was raised in the Hayes township in Clay County. He married Beverly Mall in 1949, they later divorced. Warren farmed in the Hayes township until he retired in 1994. He married Norma (White) Laird in February 1969 and she preceded him in death on September 30, 2001. He moved to Clay Center in 2006. Warren was a member of the Hayes United Methodist Church, Clay Center United Methodist Church, American Legion, Elks, Eagles and Concordia Moose Lodge. Warren is also preceded in death by his brother Clarence, Jr. Survivors include: Daughter: Sherry and husband Mike Whitmore, Mission, KS Son: Ed and wife Debbie Weidman, Bonifay , Fl Step-Son: Richard Laird, Jackson, MS Step-Son: John and wife Diane Laird, Memphis, TN Step-Son: Kurt and wife Marcia Laird, Salina, KS Grandchildren: 6 Grand and 9 Great-grand Step-Grandchildren: 8 Step-Grand & 7 Step-Great-grand Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 12, 2010 at 10:30 AM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Chapel in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Larry Myers. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on will be held from 3-8 PM at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to may be made to the Presbyterian Manor and sent in care of the funeral home.
