Warrene Blake 73 died December 24, 2019 at the Clay County Medical Center in Clay Center, Kansas. She was born on September 27, 1946 in Clay Center, the daughter of Warren and Doris (Wickstrum) Bigler. Warrene was raised in Clay Center and was a graduate of the CCCHS class of 1964. She married Bruce Blake on June 12, 1966 and he survives. She worked for Close and Co., Clay County Headstart, Wee Three Flowers, CO-OP and was a bailiff at the Clay County Courthouse. She was also a wall paperer and cared for homebound adults. Warrene was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Ladysmith EHU and she was an original member of the Clay Center B’s softball team and later was a coach for the Bs. She was preceded in death by parents and brother, Warren “Junior” Bigler.
