William Cranmer, 81 died September 29, 2018 in Clay Center, KS. He was born on May 10, 1937 in Clyde, Kansas. The son of Oscar and Mary (Fuller) Cranmer. Bill was raised in Clyde, KS and graduated from Clyde High School in 1956. He served in the US Army from 1960 to 1962. Bill worked at Gilmore-Tatge for 22 years as a welder. He then worked at Great Plaines Manufacturing for 18 years before retiring. He married Pennie Fowles on May 3, 1980. Bill was a former member of the American Legion, BPOE and the Eagle’s. He was well known as a softball umpire and officiated the Women’s World Tournament.
