WILLIAM CURTIS LOGAN died May 19, 2009 at Presbyterian Manor, Clay Center, KS
at the age of 90. He was born on August 22, 1918 in Clay Center, Kansas the son of William K
Logan and Nell Ford. He married Nola Nyberg on October 16, 1943 at LaJolla, California. He
was a Corporal in the U.S. Marines with the 4th Division, 24 Marines 1st Battallion and served
during WWII in Saipan, Tinian, and Iwo Jima. He owned Logan Furniture until retiring in 1993.
He was past president of the Lion's Club, a member of the Masonic Lodge #134, rode the Tin
Lizzie in parades and was a member of the Scottish Rite. He served on the Clay Center Planning
Commission and served as Mayor of Clay Center from 1971-1979. He served on the Area
Agency on Aging, he was past Cubmaster for the Cub Scouts. He was a member of Clay Center
United Methodist Church, taught Sunday school, and was a lay leader. He was past president of
Clay Center Chamber of Commerce, a member of American Legion Post 3101 for 60 years and
V.F.W. Post #3381.

Daughter: Shari and her husband, Steve Lambrecht, Tecumseh, KS
Grandchildren: 11 Grandchildren and 3 Grandchildren
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 10:30 AM at the United Methodist
Church in Clay Center, Kansas.
Officiating the service will be Rev. Gerald Martin.
Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas.
Visitation will be held on will be held from 3-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
